Saul Bass had a few things right—and his cultivation mindset guides everything I do. I mostly believe that creativity starts by blowing up a few ideas, diving deep into the strategy and audience personas, before even thinking about what it could look like. But there’s always exceptions to the rules.

I spent my early years roller skating the coast of SoCal before making my way to Portland, Oregon, where I spent 8 years in the land of rain, ad agencies, and craft beer. But in the winter of 2020, I packed up, chased the sun, and ended up in Colorado—where the sun almost never stops shining. As a designer, I’m known for being humble, curious, and always down for a laugh. Life’s too short to take too seriously, right?
